In Memory of Larry Kruger, a native of Michigan whose culinary journey began in the National Guard. Inspired by his sense of duty and a passion for flavor, Larry set out to create the ultimate sauce. After relocating to the beautiful hills of Northwest Arkansas with his wife, Cindy, he devoted his energy and commitment to perfecting what is now known as Hog Soppin Sauce. More than just a condiment, Hog Soppin Sauce embodies Larry’s spirit a bold, legendary blend that turns every meal into a celebration. Crafted with love and a unique mix of spices, this sauce delivers an unforgettable flavor meant to be shared with family and friends.

From Our Family to Yours

Hog Soppin Sauce was the dream and creation of Larry Kruger, a proud Michigan native, devoted husband, loving father and “Papa,” and hands down the best cook we’ve ever known. His passion for bold, unforgettable flavor was first sparked during his time in the National Guard, where cooking for others became more than a duty, it became a joy.

After moving to the scenic hills of Northwest Arkansas with his beloved wife, Cindy (affectionately known as Nini), Larry poured his heart into perfecting a BBQ sauce that was bold, rich, and full of soul. He spent years tweaking ingredients, layering flavors, and fine-tuning every batch until it was just right.

He called it Hog Soppin Sauce.
We call it magic in a bottle.

Larry passed away in 2016, but his legacy lives on in every jar. Cindy lovingly kept the recipe safe, waiting until the time felt right. And now, the Kruger family is finally bringing his dream to life, and we can’t wait for you to try it.

So from our family to yours, we’re proud to share Hog Soppin Sauce, made with the same love, the same care, and the same secret recipe that started it all.

Growing up I always looked forward to visits with Uncle Larry. He was a master in the kitchen and spoiled us with many favorites. He made an apple pizza that stood out but when he started making his sauce the entire house was aware. We could not wait to walk by and steal a spoonful of his savory, bold and delicious sauce. We dipped everything in it- and smothered some meat to just get another bite. When the jar was empty we had to wait for his next batch.
